AHEPA - James Plevritis Evzone Chapter # 405

AHEPA Mission Statement:

The AHEPA is committed to Education, Hellenism and Service to the Community. Education is AHEPA's middle name and we sponsor a number of scholarships and honor our graduates annually with a luncheon. Community service is also important. As Christians living in America, we have received so much and community service is only being grateful and giving back. Hellenism is not just our heritage, it is a philosophy and an ideal as well. It is an appreciation of the worth of the individual, the pursuit of truth in everything, an appreciation of perfect beauty, advocating the concepts of freedom and self-government, using ethics as a guiding principle and the never ending pursuit of learning.  Special Events:

Annually in December, we have a recognition luncheon at the Westchester Country Club  honoring an outstanding member of the community - December 2014, Costa Papademetriou will be honored and received the AHEPA Lifetime Achievement Award.

One of our most popular events is the Super Bowl, which is telecast on an entire wall in the Community Center. The whole family is invited for the price of admission. Guys get to watch the game, the women chat and play cards and the children run around in the gym. Everyone gets fed and has a great time and the ticket can win the top prize of $1,000.
